Position Description:
 
This role is responsible for the daily administration for the Supplier Data Tracking & Approval (SDTA) system. This system is used to process
 
?the receipt of electronic documentation from suppliers
?the entry of documents into the document management system (STAC)
?the approval of documents by technical specialist in Engineering
?return of documents to suppliers
?Understand the processes in place for third party client approvals
?Handling documentation and the required preparation for submittal to third party clients.
?follow-up of late documentation
These activities are key to support the timely and cost effective execution of active projects.
 
The principal accountabilities of the role are
 
?Receive, distribute and track engineering documentation for active projects using STDA and STAC systems
?Understand the processes in place for third party client approvals
?Resolve problems or bring problems to the attention of the proper personnel.
?Telephone contact with external suppliers to clarify document submittal issues or to expedite documentation when required.
?Edit and scan documentation into the STAC system using the associated software and hardware.
?Operate large and small format printers in the Engineering Print Room.
?Maintain contact with Project Engineering and all engineering departments and with Purchasing for information and schedule purposes
 
Skills Needed
 
 
?A good understanding of PC based windows applications.
?Strong interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
?Must be able to perform effectively with general guidance.
?Work accurately to avoid rework.
?Previous Document Control experience is essential.
Training will be provided in all tools and applications as required.
